Ronaldo won’t be going anywhere, insists Zidane

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane insists Cristiano Ronaldo will be going nowhere.

The Portuguese star has been heavily linked with a switch to Paris Saint-Germain or Manchester United following reports of his discontent at the Santiago Bernabeu during Rafa Benitez’s tenure.

However, Zidane, who took over from Benitez on Monday, issued a hands-off warning to any potential suitors.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is more than non-transferable,” Zidane told reporters on Friday.

“He’s the soul of this team. While he’s here, he won’t leave.”

Ronaldo has won the Champions League, La Liga and two Copas del Rey with los Blancos.
