I was playing for Morton in the Premier League against Hibernian at Cappielow. I didn’t make that many appearances in the top flight of Scottish football and I was almost certainly not known for scoring goals.
However, on this day, I scored an absolute cracker against Scotland’s International goalkeeper Alan Rough.
We had a corner which came out to me at the edge of the 18 yard box and, believe me when I tell you, it was a diving header that flew into the back of the net past Roughie.
We won the match 4-1 but, it still wasn’t enough to keep us up. We got relegated and our manager Willie McLean was sacked!Back to The Football Family
