Football pundit and ex Newcastle United striker, Alan Shearer, has found himself in hot water after threatening to send Ebola to the house of a Sunderland fan.
After tweeting out a promotion to give away signed England shirts, for betting company Coral, Shearer received some not so kind replies.
Keep an eye out as we will soon be giving away some England shirts signed by @alanshearer! pic.twitter.com/Yn8hYzXVk7

“@Coral @alanshearer I’d rather get an envelope full of Ebola in the post than a shirt signed by him. Weetabix headed c**t.”
This is where the conversation should have finished….but Shearer couldn’t help but respond to the Sunderland fan.
Send me your address and I’m sure I can arrange that. https://t.co/VMwpbDdBBm

Was it all just banter taken too seriously or should Shearer have risen above it?
