Ciftci free to face Celtic

Last updated: March 05, 2015 16:58

Dundee United striker Nadir Ciftci will be able to play against Celtic in the Scottish Cup quarter-final this weekend after his charge of violent conduct was “not proven” by the Judicial Panel.

Ciftci was accused of deliberately striking Inverness CT defender Gary Warren “upon his head or neck” with his arm and was offered a two-match ban.

However, the Arabs have successfully challenged the charge. Ciftci though will still miss the League Cup final against the Hoops having already being suspended for the clash.
