Livingston have announced the signing of Daniel Mackay on a season long loan from Hibernian.

The 22-year-old spent the last campaign on loan at Inverness Caledonian Thistle and played an influential role in Billy Dodds’ side run to the Scottish Cup Final.

Livingston boss David Martindale revealed that Mackay is a player that’s been on his radar for a number of years and is excited to add the winger to his arsenal:

“I have followed Dan’s career since his Inverness days under John Robertson and he has gone on and played a lot of football for a lad that has not long turned 22.”

“He’s very direct, has great pace and a very good right foot, scoring a variety of goals – there’s certainly a lot to like about him.”

“Dan will come in and add to our options in the final third – being able to play off both the left and right and has also played through the middle when called upon on occasion.”
