Michael Beale will be feeling the heat more than ever as Rangers boss, after his side fell to a 3-1 defeat at home to Aberdeen.

Rangers dominated the majority of the ball in this first 45.

The home side’s closest chance to open to scoring came after Ryan Jack whipped the ball in for Cyriel Dessers to send a powerful header towards goal, forcing Kelle Roos to spring into action and palm it away.

Jose Cifuentes then came close to heading it home for Rangers just 10 minutes before the half time whistle but his effort was sent wide of the near post.

Aberdeen had prevented Rangers from going ahead but struggled to create much themselves leaving Jack Butland in the Rangers goal with very little to do. That was until Stefan Gartenmann was able to hit the back of the net from close range just on the 38th minute.

It is evident that patience is wearing thin amongst the Rangers support as more boo’s surrounded the stands as the half time whistle was blown.

Into the second half Jamie McGrath doubled Aberdeen’s lead from inside the penalty area after the ball scrambled around the box.

Rangers had a mountain to climb and that was before Scott Wright was shown his second yellow of the afternoon having just come on to replace Ryan Jack after the break.

The game was killed off by Jack McKenzie who fired in Aberdeen’s 3rd and final goal of the afternoon.

As the full time whistle was blown the stands of Ibrox were mostly empty however there were some who stayed to show the team and the manager exactly how they felt.
