18 Aug Ibrahimovic would be welcomed back to Milan
Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic would be welcomed back to AC Milan with open arms, says honourary club president Silvio Berlusconi.
The Sweden international has a year left to run on his deal in Paris and, despite indicating his happiness to stay with les Parisiens, speculation continues about his future.
Reports in France suggest PSG could let Ibrahimovic go which has also put Manchester United and Arsenal on alert.
Ibrahimovic enjoyed a successful stint at Milan, helping the club to their last Scudetto triumph in 2011 and Berlusconi would love to have the 33-year-old back at the club.
“If Ibrahimovic wants to come to Milan, we would welcome him with open arms,” Berlusconi told La Gazzetta dello Sport before Milan’s 2-0 Coppa Italia win over Perugia on Monday.
Milan have strengthened their striking options in the transfer window this summer with the arrival of Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano.
