Far-travelled Scottish manager Stuart Baxter has been appointed the new head coach of South African ABSA Premiership side SuperSport United.
Baxter, who led fellow PSL outfit Kaizer Chiefs to two league titles in three seasons and a, takes over from Gordon Igesund after a disappointing start to the season where they currently languish in the bottom half of the table.
Baxter has managed in various different places across the world including Sweden, Japan, Portugal, Turkey and Norway as well as managing the national teams of South Africa and Finland.

After his last stint in South Africa with the Chiefs, he left to join Turkish outfit Genclerbirligi at the start of this season but it didn’t go well as he survived just two games into his 10-month contract after a fall-out with chairman Ilhav Cancan.
He told Kickoff.com “The chairman calls me in and rants at me, even going on about my family. Then he stops ranting and simply says; ‘Okay, you can pack your things and go.”
Some fans aren’t happy that Baxter has decided to join a rival club.
