Scotland captain Scott Brown admits his side will have to produce an outstanding display to get anything from the game against Germany.
The Scots suffered a huge blow to their chances of qualifying for Euro 2016 after defeat to Georgia and now face the world champions.
And Brown concedes they face a huge battle in taking a positive result against the Germans at Hampden on Monday.
“We are playing the world champions so we’re going to need a full house behind us and the performance is going to have to be outstanding to get anything out of the game,” he said.
“There’s still nine points to play for but if we can get anything from Germany it will be great for us.
“It’s going to be hard, we know how good they are but on our day with 50,000 fans here anything can happen.
“I think everybody has got to be at their best. There’s got to be a team performance, you need some luck and some individual brilliance and we’ve definitely got that in the team.
“We believe we can do it.”
