Caley fans will be happy

Richie Foran has promised Inverness fans that they will not be disappointed at the end of the transfer window.

The Caley Thistle manager has been trying to add a further two players to his squad after signing strikers Dean Ebbe and Henri Anier earlier in January.

“It’s probably going to be last minute but it’s still looking good,” Foran said.

“It’s going to be busy. You’re trying to get players in from clubs and those clubs are trying to get others in before they let players out, so it can be a bit frustrating.

“We’ve got two or three on the go just now and players in reserve if they fall through. I’m sure the supporters will be delighted with what we bring in.”

Foran’s attempts have not been helped by the scheduling of their Ladbrokes Premiership encounter at Hamilton hours before the deadline closes on Tuesday night.

“It’s not great timing for a game of football but it’s part and parcel of football,” he said. “We’ll have the club secretary and chairman working hard and we’ve got enough staff.

“You’d rather be up here to deal with any problems but you’ve just got to deal with the situation.”

The game pits the Premiership bottom two against each other and Inverness need to win to jump above Hamilton, who currently lead on goal difference.

But Foran said: “I feel the pressure will be on Hamilton’s shoulders. It’s a home game and a must-win game for them.

“We can overtake them with a win and that’s how we’ll set up. We’re going to win the game.”
