Celtic boss Ronny Deila remained tightlipped on Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan joining the club.
The 23-year-old has been the subject of three unsuccessful bids from Rangers and has handed in a transfer request to leave Easter Road.
However, Hibs ruled out the possibility of selling the former West Brom midfielder to their Championship rivals.
That has strengthened rumours that Celtic could land Allan but Deila remained coy over speculation linking them to the player.
“I can’t comment on anything before something is done,” he said. “It’s too early to say something about.
“I have commented on names before and that wasn’t very good. He is not our player, so please try to ask about our players.
“Celtic are always looking for players across Europe and the world who can take us to the next level.”
