Celtic boss Ronny Deila has picked up the Scottish Premiership manager of the month for October.
The Norwegian boss guided his side to victories over Aberdeen, Dundee United, Motherwell and Hamilton as the Hoops clawed back the gap on the Dons and now have a six-point advantage at the summit.
It’s Deila’s first award this season after Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes scooped the first couple of monthly accolades and the Celtic boss is pleased that his squad continue to find the winning formula.
“Every game is important but beating Aberdeen at home was even more so as it gives us an advantage in the league,” Deila said.
“Nobody can take these points away from us now. We want to keep winning and keep developing but it makes it even better if we can develop while already winning games and with a gap at the top of the table.”
