Dele Alli was part of a small section of the England World Cup squad to train after a thigh problem saw him miss Sunday’s record win over Panama.
The Three Lions racked up their largest victory in the history of tournament football as Alli’s Tottenham team-mate Harry Kane hit a hat-trick in a 6-1 win.
The result means England are already through to the last 16 ahead of what is essentially a play-off against Belgium on Thursday for who will progress as winners of Group G.
None of the players who started in Nizhny Novgorod took part in Monday’s training session back at their training base in Zelenogorsk.
Alli was part of proceedings alongside those squad members who did not feature against Panama, although the players who came off the bench – Jamie Vardy, Fabian Delph and Danny Rose – were present.
Manager Gareth Southgate led the session alongside assist Steve Holland.
It remains to be seen if Southgate will make a number of changes to his side for the game against Belgium in Kaliningrad or if he will stick to the strongest XI possible.
