Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is hoping to sign more players before their Europa League clash with Burnley after suffering some near misses on the recruitment front.
McInnes has signed midfielders Lewis Ferguson, Chris Forrester and Stephen Gleeson this summer but is looking to strengthen in other areas before the Clarets visit Pittodrie on July 26.
The Dons boss told Red TV: “We are constantly trying to ask the questions. There are always challenges when you are trying to sign good players. If good players become available then there is normally more than one show in town.
“There’s been a lot we have hit the bar with and been close to bringing.
“But we will continue trying to bring the right type of player to the squad. Hopefully there will be a couple in before the Burnley game but you can never be sure of that.”
