Hibernian have the players to hurt Rangers when the pair face off at Easter Road tomorrow night, says ex-Celtic goalkeeper Alan Rough.
Neil Lennon’s side ran out convincing 2-0 winners over Brendan Rodgers side at the weekend after a lacklustre display from the Hoops.
A goal inside the first minute and a second half strike handed the Hibees all three points and the Easter Road side will be determined to get a double Old Firm scalp.
Steven Gerrard’s side go into the feisty tie top of the table, one point ahead of their Glasgow rivals, albeit the Parkhead club have a game in hand.
But former Scotland stopper Alan Rough believes Neil Lennon’s side have what it takes to knock Rangers off of top spot tomorrow night.
He told PLZ Soccer: “I don’t think anyone expected that result against Celtic but the performance was there for everybody to see.
“Again I think it will be similar because they will want to play a lot of good football and move the ball about, they’ve got a lot of pace in their team.
“I know Rangers beat Hamilton at the weekend, that was one-way traffic all the way, I don’t think it will be that tomorrow night.
“I think Hibs have got players in that side that can hurt them, particularly in midfield.”
