Bayern Munich attacker Franck Ribery expressed his delight at being able to play football again after being sidelined for nine months with an ankle injury
Ribery suffered the setback in Bayern’s 7-0 thrashing of Shakhtar Donetsk last March but only resumed training for Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
Now Ribery has set his sights on returning to action before the winter break in Germany on December 19, which is five games away for Pep Guardiola’s men.
“It’s a great day for me, it’s very emotional,” Ribéry told FCB.tv.

“It’s been the first injury that’s kept me sidelined for so long, a tough time. But that’s football, that’s life. It’s important to keep your head up and work hard. Now I’m back with the team, a good feeling!”
