Lennon challenges Hibs

Hibernian head coach Neil Lennon is looking for another special afternoon at Easter Road as his side aim to continue their winning run.

Hibs have won five in a row but only one of those games has been at home.

A 3-0 win over Dundee United looks like it could be the pivotal moment of the season as the Leith side have since moved eight points clear in the Ladbrokes Championship.

But Saturday’s visitors, Ayr, won at Easter Road earlier in the season and Lennon wants to produce an atmosphere to rival the Friday night win over Ray McKinnon’s side.

He told Hibs TV: “I’m very much looking forward to getting back onto home turf. It has been a while, almost a month. Hopefully we can replicate our last performance.

“The atmosphere that night was the best I’d experienced at Easter Road. The fans were unbelievable, so we’re looking for more of the same.

“We can’t go into the game with any complacency, Ayr have beaten us this season. It’s a dangerous game, but it’s one with great incentives for us as well.”

Dundee United host Raith Rovers in the evening fixture while third-placed Morton travel to Dumfries to face Queen of the South.

Dumbarton entertain St Mirren in a battle between two sides at the bottom and Falkirk welcome Dunfermline.
