Marcus Rashford exploded onto the scene with a terrific double for Manchester United on his debut. The 18-year-old striker wasn’t even meant to be in the starting line-up but Anthony Martial pulled up in the warm-up and Rashford certainly seized his chance, saving his manager Louis van Gaal from further embarrassment by helping United into the last-16 of the Europa League at Midtylland’s expense. Paul Scholes

Scholes wasn’t part of the famous Class of 92 which won the FA Youth Cup but he hit the ground running at United when he made his full professional debut in September 1994 against Port Vale. Scholes came off the bench to score a double which would be the start of an illustrious career at Old Trafford.

Success? YES Scholes won 11 Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two Champions Leagues.
