Eamonn Brophy has agreed to join St Mirren from Scottish Premiership rivals Kilmarnock this summer.

Brophy has scored 35 goals in 116 appearances for Kilmarnock.

Scotland’s cash strapped top flight clubs will hold urgent talks next week after not yet receiving a single penny of the government’s proposed £20m Covid bailout.

The game’s increasingly rocky relationship with Holyrood is set to deteriorate further as the financial strain on the top 12 nears a point of crisis ahead of the January payrolls.

One Premiership chief said ‘anger and frustration’ is boiling over among the clubs and described the government’s proposed rescue package as a ‘shambles’.

Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has switched agents and join up with the firm who represent some of England’s top talent.

Edouard is now represented by the London-based Stellar Group, who have Gareth Bale, Jack Grealish and Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez among their roster.

It is reported that Stellar took over the affairs of former Celtic defender Kieran Tierney months before his Scottish record transfer fee to Arsenal in 2019.

Following Dillon Barnes’ return to parent club QPR, Polish keeper Dabrowski will now compete with Ofir Marciano for a starting spot at Easter Road.

Dundee have informed Dundee United of a pre-contract move for Paul  McMullan.

Dundee hope a deal might be done to bring the former Celtic youth star to Dens this month to bolster James McPake’s promotion hopes.

McMullan has plenty of experience of the Scottish Championship, having played 57 times for St Mirren, Morton and Dunfermline while on loan from Parkhead before joining United.

Rangers youngster Kai Kennedy is set to sign a new contract at the club.

The highly-rated 18-year-old has returned from his six-month loan spell at Inverness but his current deal was due to expire at the end of the campaign.

Kennedy was one of John Robertson’s top performers in Scotland’s second tier.

Wigan have recalled striker Callum Lang from his loan spell at Motherwell.

Since joining the Scottish Premiership side in July 2020, the 22-year-old has scored five goals and gained experience of European football when playing in the Europa League.

The loan period was the fourth undertaken by Lang, who has represented Morecambe, Oldham and Shrewsbury after coming through the youth ranks at Latics.

Motherwell are hoping to reveal their new manager within the next 24 hours.

Former St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright, ex-Scotland international Graham Alexander, former Leeds United and Sunderland boss Simon Grayson and interim boss Keith Lasley are all in the running.

The Fir Park board will be completing the interview process today, and hope to appoint the man to succeed Stephen Robinson tomorrow.

Leeann Dempster has officially left her role as Hibernian chief this week.

The ex-Motherwell CEO tweeted that she was looking forward to “another unbelievable exciting challenge” after six-and-a-half years in Leith.

Livingston FC have announced the signing of striker Gavin Reilly on an 18-month contract.

Joining from Carlisle where he’s spent the last 6 months, Gavin is already a well-known face north of the border having played for Queen of the South, Hearts, Dunfermline and St Mirren.

A move to Bristol Rovers in 2018 was followed by a loan spell at Cheltenham before the frontman joined Carlisle at the start of this season.

“I have seen some photographs and I can only comment on what I have seen, I don’t know the full circumstances, that would raise a question in my mind whether all the rules of what elite players within their bubbles, around social distancing, are being complied with."

NICOLA STURGEON - SCOTLAND'S FIRST MINISTERON CELTIC'S TRIP TO DUBAI

Celtic have insisted their controversial sunshine trip to Dubai was approved by the Scottish Government, following calls from Holyrood for the matter to be investigated by the Scottish Football Association.

Neil Lennon and his Hoops squad flew out to the Middle East on Saturday for a warm-weather training camp on the back of a damaging derby defeat to Rangers which left them 19 points adrift in the Premiership title race.

St Mirren are set to agree a pre-contract arrangement to sign Kilmarnock striker Eamonn Brophy.

The Saints have pushed the boat out to line up a move to get the Kilmarnock striker in a deal come the summer.

The Paisley club have come up with big-money and the offer of a three year contract after Saints boss Jim Goodwin persuaded his board to dig deep.

Motherwell are set to land former Livingston and Rangers goalkeeper Liam Kelly on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has spent 2020/21 playing second fiddle to Seny Dieng at QPR and is set to leave Loftus Road for the remainder of the campaign.

Liam Kelly travelled to Glasgow on Monday and could be registered in time for the Steelmen’s trip to face St Mirren on Saturday.

Declan Gallagher is prepared to try and force through a dream move to Celtic, it has been reported.

The Motherwell defender is out of contract in the summer but only six appearances away from triggering an automatic one-year extension.

The Scotland centre back fears it could cost him the chance of a summer move with other clubs circling.

Celtic, along with Aberdeen, Hibs and Blackburn Rovers are all monitoring the situation.

Rangers are open to sending Jordan Jones and George Edmundson out on loan this month, it has been reported.

The pair haven’t played for Steven Gerard since being hit with seven game bans for breaching Covid protocols.

There remains major doubts over their Ibrox futures, and they could be set to continue their careers away from Glasgow, at least for the rest of this season.

Hibs are closing in on a permanent deal for former Motherwell midfielder Chris Cadden.

Columbus Crew look set to release the Scotland midfielder to allow him to return home.

The 24-year-old is keen to get his career back on track after limited game time with the Major League Soccer champions.

Jack Ross hopes to get a deal agreed this week.

RALPH HASENHUTTL ON FRASER FORSTERSOUTHAMPTON BOSS

English Premier League side Sheffield United are reportedly keeping tabs on Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet.

St. Johnstone FC have announced the loan signing of Millwall’s James Brown until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.

🚨 BREAKING! HIBS IN KEEPER CRISIS AFTER QPR RECALL DILLON BARNES

Hibernian face a goalkeeping crisis ahead of next week’s trip to Celtic after former Rangers boss Mark Warburton opted to recall Dillon Barnes back to QPR.

The 24-year-old had been thrust into action after regular Easter Road number one Ofir Marciano suffered an injury in the win over St Mirren just before Christmas.

He was in between the sticks as Jack Ross’ team suffered successive losses to Rangers, Ross County and Livingston.
