Lee Johnson has sent a warning to European rivals Luzern that Hibs won’t be shot shy during the battle to secure a mouthwatering tie against Aston Villa.

The Easter Road side take on Swiss club Luzern in Edinburgh tomorrow night in the first leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League Third round qualifier.

The winner will be paired with English Premiership giants Aston Villa in a play off which could see the return of Hibs hero John McGinn.

Speaking ahead of tomorrow night’s match, the Hibs boss warned his team will have no problem firing in the goals in their bid to secure a group stage spot.

Lee Johnson said: “”We’re not going into it fearful. We scored nine good goals in my view in the last two games.

“That’s not our problem. I don’t think our problem is scoring goals. Our problem in the last game was a poor start and conceding goals too easily.

“We have to coach now. We have to make sure that ‘alright these are our strengths’ but we we’ve got a few weaknesses and we’ve got to be able to coach those weaknesses.

“New players and good players have got to integrate within that and buy into it more importantly.”
