Scotland could make history by booking their place in the last-16 of EURO 2020 by beating Croatia, days after their heroic performance against stuttering England.
Here PLZ Soccer looks at the permutations of how Steve Clarke’s side can reach the knockout phase.
For Scotland to finish third and qualify for the knockout stages as one of the 4 additional places, the following scenario must play out in 2 of the groups:
Group D: Scotland must beat Croatia at Hampden
Group B: Finland lose or Russia lose
Group C: Austria or Ukraine lose (to each other)
Group E: Poland lose or Spain and Slovakia draw
Group F: Germany lose or Portugal lose
If two teams are level on points the decider will be:
1. Superior goal difference
2. Number of goals scored
3. Higher number of wins
4. Lower disciplinary record
5. Position in UEFA rankings
