Scotland must go to Finland and WIN if they are to earn a spot at Euro 2025 after the first leg ended goalless at Easter Road.
It could be a nervy 90 minutes for Pedro Martinez Losa’s team when they face the same opponents in Helsinki on Tuesday night.
The home side failed to capitalise on an early opportunity when Martha Thomas’ cross narrowly evaded Sam Kerr in the box.
Finland had a chance of their own to open the scoring but Ria Oling fired the ball over the bar from the edge of the box.
Eartha Cummings was then forced into a superb save, clawing the ball out after Sallstrom hit a looping ball on the volley from outside of the box.
Pedro Martinez Losa made a huge call at half-time by replacing seven goal hero Martha Thomas with Emma Watson.
But the second 45 minutes failed to produce a moment of magic from either side as the tie ended goalless at the final whistle.
Scotland will travel to face Finland in Helsinki on Tuesday in the crunch decider for that spot at Euro 2025.
