Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid,

Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid side go in search of their 11th European Cup success in the Champions League final against city rivals Atletico Madrid on Saturday, with the Frenchman hoping to join an elite band of brothers.

Very few footballers can speak of Champions League success – even the great Diego Maradona missed out on the triumph – but even less can lay claim to winning Europe’s premier competition both as a player and a manager.

After Zidane’s incredible volley at Hampden Park in 2002, helping Real Madrid to a 2-1 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the final, that is the destiny awaiting the Real Madrid boss.

However, his side will be up against stern opposition hoping to exact revenge for the 2014 final defeat.

MIGUEL MUNOZ

Real Madrid dominated the European scene in the 1950s filled with quality players like Alfredo Di Stefano, Ferenc Puskas and Francisco Gento. Miguel Munoz was a midfielder in that side and he won three European Cups and four La Liga titles in the 1950s as a player. As a manager he would be even better and is considered to be one of the greatest bosses in the clubs history. Munoz won La Liga nine times and guided Madrid to European Cup success twice, including the unforgettable final at Hampden Park where los Blancos hammered Eintracht Frankfurt 7-3.
