Raith Rovers have parted company with manager Grant Murray after a run of five games without a victory.

Murray, who led the club to famous win over Rangers in Ramsdens Cup final last season, had one game to go before the end of the term.

The Fifers dispensed of their manager after the 4-0 capitulation against Livingston on Saturday, leaving them sixth in the table.

A club statement said: “Recent performances and results have led to parting of ways.

“His three-year tenure has included an unforgettable Ramsdens Cup win and two Scottish Cup quarter-final appearances, while Championship league status has been maintained.

“Grant has been an extremely hard working manager and we wish him well in his future career within football.”

First team coach Laurie Ellis will take the club’s final game of the season against Dumbarton on Saturday.
