"Academy football has destroyed Scottish football." Peter Martin, Stephen McGowan and Gordon Parks on where the Scottish game's quality has gone: the SPFL's TV deal and "the chaos and the mayhem", Scotland "down to 21st" in the UEFA coefficient, a product that's "structurally wrong", Alex Smith's and Dundee United's young sides, "38 out of 132" Scottish starters with only two under 21, Craig Mulholland's under-21 plan ("a ticking time bomb under the game"), and whether a points system for foreign players is the "nuclear option".
