Barry Ferguson Post-Match Interview | Hibernian 2–2 Rangers | SPFL Premiership 2025
Rangers interim manager Barry Ferguson shares his frustration after a dramatic 2–2 draw with Hibernian at Easter Road, focusing on a major refereeing controversy that left his side feeling robbed.
Ferguson reacts passionately to a disallowed goal-line incident involving Nico Raskin, where the ball clearly crossed the line—but was not given. Calling the decision "baffling" and "mind-blowing," he stops short of directly criticising officials but makes clear his dismay at yet another VAR-related failure.
📌 Key Talking Points:
Ferguson slams decision not to award a goal despite clear evidence the ball crossed the line.
Refers to the referee’s refusal to engage: “The referee—not interested.”
Praises the fourth official for their conduct, but is mystified by the overall lack of accountability.
Labels it part of a pattern of poor officiating across Scottish football: “I’ve seen it all season.”
Insists goal-line technology wasn’t even needed for this call—“It’s clear to see.”
⚠️ Ferguson holds back—but only just—as he reflects on another controversial afternoon in Scottish football. A must-watch post-match reaction for fans of Rangers, Hibs, and those following the VAR debate in the SPFL.
