"It would have to come from Martin." Why Dermot Desmond won't sack Martin O'Neill, no matter what the Celtic fans want.
The panel explain there is no impetus to change the manager unless Dermot Desmond drives it - and he simply won't tell Martin O'Neill he is out. Any change, they argue, would have to come from the O'Neill camp itself. Given their long relationship and what O'Neill did for him earlier in the year, Desmond will give him every opportunity.

There's not going to be any impetus. Let's be frank about this. The impetus to change a manager would have to be at least sanctioned. I would think absolutely motivated and driven by Dermot Desmond.
Yes. Right. I can see no occasion where Dermot Desmond goes to Martin and says you're out, you know, because he just wouldn't. I mean, you just wouldn't do that.
It's a lie of duty then. What what needs to any any change in that managerial situation will have to come from the O'Neill camp. It's nonsense. that's a nonsensical situation.
It's a nonsensical situation, a paradox for a football club. I'm not saying it's right. I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm just saying this is what I believe is the the levers would have to engage would have to come from Martin.
Martin would have to go to Dermot Desmond and say listen and say well fine blahy blah. I don't see Desmond phoning enough. You've got to remember a couple you know these people particularly Dermot Desmond will have seen Dermot Desmond will have seen big heavy times in business and he's used to weathering storms and crisises but he's also used to dealing with people and paying off his debts and what he's and you you've got to look at what Dermot apart from what he thought about Martin with their long-term relationship with what Martin did Not 10 years ago, not 23 years, 6 months ago, not even 6 months ago in May. You know what he did in May for him, what he did in the in the winter for him.
So Dermot Desmond will be giving Martin every opportunity.
