Why was Shankland allowed a clause to leave for nothing? Peter Martin pivots The Journos panel to the Hearts BOARD — and Hugh MacDonald + Gordon Parks pull no punches on how Hearts handled the Lawrence Shankland clause.
"Your head's been mush. You wasted a season when you were totally engulfed in 'is he going here, is he going there?' Hearts lost their way. They didn't get the goals that they wanted from him." — The Journos panel verdict
🔴 The argument cuts both ways:
• Hearts fans say: How did the board allow Shankland an exit clause to leave for nothing?
• The board's defence: "He did give us a title" — Hearts were within a whisker of winning the Scottish Premiership.
So — does giving Hearts a title justify the board allowing the clause? Drop your verdict 👇
