🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Should Lawrence Shankland lead the line for Scotland at the World Cup 2026? Former Hearts manager and Scotland captain Steven Naismith backs Lawrence Shankland for a major role at the 2026 World Cup — and reveals why he thinks the striker is at the peak of his career.

"Lawrence is somebody I've worked with closely. He's at the best he's ever been at now. In the last two or three years his progression has been better than probably most in the squad. He's had challenges and moments where it's not been good, but he's rebound. Fantastic season. I think for us going into the World Cup, he'll be a big player for us." — Steven Naismith

After signing for Rangers, Shankland heads to the World Cup with Scotland — and one of his former bosses is convinced he'll deliver on the biggest stage.
