Hibs 1-1 Aberdeen at Easter Road, the first game since David Gray's sacking, and it was the returning old boy who struck first.

Kevin Nisbet, back at Easter Road in Aberdeen colours, side-footed the Dons in front from close range for his 12th goal of the season, before Hibs hit back just past the hour through a Boyle penalty after a foul on Jason Kerr. It was not a classic, with some home fans making their feelings about the club's direction clear, and with the search for David Gray's successor now the big question, John Potter's interim side took a point. Stephen Robinson's Aberdeen, on a strong week, might have wanted more.

Transcript:

It's Hibs one, Aberdeen one, and many of the home supporters here were wondering what they were going to get from this side after the sacking of David Gray in midweek. Well, they battled, but they went a goal behind in the first half from an old Hibs boy, Kevin Nisbet, with an easy side foot pass into the back of the net when he was inside the six-yard box with time. And you know what happens? Scored his 12th goal of the season.

In the second half, with a few changes, Hibs rallied and just beyond the hour, they got a penalty. Jack Milne barging into Jason Kerr. The referee pointed to the spot and Boyle rifled it from 12 yards into the rim of the net to make it level between the two sides. It wasn't a classic.

Wasn't great to watch. A few dissenting Hibs fans shouting "Malky Mackay out". But realistically, Hibs have got more worries about who they get to become the manager, who's the candidate that can take this club forward at the end of a very difficult week. They'll be happy with a point.

Maybe Steven Robinson would have been hoping for much more considering what's been happening here in Leith. But nevertheless, honors even here at Easter Road. It finished Hibs one, Aberdeen one.
