Full time here at Easter Road, where it finishes Hibs 4, Dundee 0, and what a fantastic performance by David Gray’s men as they make it 17 league games undefeated—matching their record that stretched all the way back to the 1947–48 season.
They took the lead in the first half through Rocky Bushiri. He volleyed home his fourth of the season, and really it could have been much more going into the halftime break. But that was just a precursor for what was to come in the second half.
Kanayo Megwa came off the bench as a substitute and, four minutes after being introduced, he swept home an excellent finish from a Lewis Miller cross to make it 2–0.
It was then three just moments later—Dwight Gayle coming onto the park and sliding a finish underneath Trevor Carson for an excellent, composed effort to make it 3–0.
Kanayo Megwa added another to proceedings when he headed home the fourth—and his fifth of the season—to seal an excellent win for Hibs.
It’s a result that moves them three points clear into third place with five to play.
For Dundee meanwhile, that leaves them deep in a relegation mire—still only ahead of St Johnstone and looking to catch the teams above them.
But it finishes here at Easter Road: Hibs 4, Dundee 0.
