Hibs 1-3 Hearts: Hearts take the Edinburgh derby and the bragging rights at Easter Road. Wouter Vrancken's side were the better team from the start, James Wilson finishing off a brilliant Josh McPake run after 13 minutes, before Lauren Mendy headed home a Blair Spittal free kick to make it 2-0 at the break. Adam Mayer's pile-driver gave Hibs hope early in the second half, but Jack Iredale's second yellow card, for a dangerous challenge on Calvin Miller, left the hosts down to 10 men, and Josh McPake's solo effort sealed a 3-1 win that lifts Hearts up to third.

Hibs vs Hearts Match Report Transcript:

Hibs 1 Hearts 3, and the bragging rights in the capital city belong to the team in maroon and white. They started the better of the two sides in the first half, played the better football, and were rewarded after 13 minutes. Josh McPake with a brilliant run cut it back, and there was James Wilson to side-foot it into the back of the net.

Hearts doubled the lead when a Blair Spittal free kick was easily headed into the back of the net by Lauren Mendy. That made it 2-0 at the break.

Something had to change for Hibs, they were absolutely woeful, going for long balls. A couple of changes were made and suddenly, six minutes into the second half, Adam Mayer hit a pile driver into the roof of the net and suddenly it was game on. But just beyond the hour, Jack Iredale, who'd already been yellow carded, picked up another yellow for a dangerous boot towards Calvin Miller. The referee had no option, sent him off, and Hibs were down to 10 men.

And with all that space, the Jambos exploited it. Josh McPake down the left-hand side with a solo effort, his shot took a little deflection in off the post to seal the victory for Wouter Vrancken's side.

It was no more than they deserved really, I thought they played the better football, and in the end they move up to third in the table, taking all three points in the Edinburgh derby here at Easter Road. It finished Hibs 1, Hearts 3.
