The Hearts manager Wouter Vrancken has been speaking to Peter Martin. "I like a lot of pressure, a lot of intensity, a lot of energy — aggression." Meet Hearts' new manager Wouter Vrancken. The Belgian, on a two-year deal at Tynecastle, sits down with Peter Martin to lay out his attacking philosophy and his ambition to go one step further than Derek McInnes, who took Hearts agonisingly close to the title: "We smelled the title last year — that's the nicest thing to play for."
Vrancken on his style — "I like to have the ball, positive and constructive, with a lot of joy" — on working with Hearts' Jamestown Analytics recruitment model ("I've always worked like this — it's a communication, and that's essential"), and on the seven players already through the door at Tynecastle.
