The Football Show · 30 May 2026
When Celtic Park exploded into a pitch invasion after the title-clinching result, Peter Martin called it as he saw it: Hearts players were threatened by thousands of fans coming onto the field. The comments section split. Police Scotland later confirmed they received no Hearts complaints. The SFA called the public reaction "disgusting" and the referee John Beaton had his home address leaked online.
"I'm not going to bother asking either of my compadres here to justify anything I've said, because quite simply, I watched it." — Peter Martin on The Football Show, 28 May 2026, refusing to back down on his Hearts-players-threatened verdict.
Peter Martin still won't back down — and Tam McManus has a sharp take on the pitch invaders themselves.
