‘It’s DISGUSTING’ | Derek McInnes on Celtic penalty and Scottish Premiership finale on Saturday - "It's DISGUSTING." Derek McInnes reacts to the Celtic late-second handball penalty at Fir Park that denied Hearts the chance to clinch the SPFL title at Tynecastle tonight — and previews the title-decider at Celtic Park on Saturday with the championship now going to the wire.
🟦 McINNES ON THE HANDBALL PENALTY:
The Hearts manager doesn't hold back on the Iheanacho penalty that gave Celtic a 3-2 win at Motherwell — the result that kept Celtic alive in the title race and meant Hearts could not be crowned champions tonight despite their own win over Falkirk at Tynecastle.
🟦 THE SPFL TITLE-DECIDER — SATURDAY AT CELTIC PARK:
Hearts v Celtic, 12:30 KO. Winner takes the SPFL Premiership title. Hearts need a win (or specific scoreline) to be champions for the first time since 1960. Celtic need a win to complete a remarkable comeback that began with Brendan Rogers, went through Wilfried Nancy, and got back on track under Martin O'Neill.
🟦 THE CONTEXT TONIGHT (13 MAY 2026):
- Hearts 2-1 Falkirk at Tynecastle — Hearts win, but...
- Motherwell 2-3 Celtic at Fir Park — Iheanacho last-second penalty for Celtic
- Hearts could NOT clinch the SPFL title tonight
- Title race goes to Saturday's Celtic Park decider
