"You're playing against the accountants, the bankers. We lost 2-1." Alex Rae tells Peter Martin about a Rangers side's trip to a tournament in Hong Kong, where the first group game was supposed to be three points in the bag.
After a few too many refreshments the boys lost to the amateurs, and manager John Brown came in and battered everybody in true Bomber fashion, until Ian Ferguson jumped up with a line nobody in the room has forgotten.

Peter, do you know, we went to Hong Kong one time, right? You leave on the Tuesday, and then the tournament starts about five o'clock on the Friday, and the first game in the group stage, there's three, and the first one's always guaranteed three points in the bag. You're playing against the accountants, the bankers. We lost 2-1, right, because the boys had had a few too many refreshments. And the one thing, and I often say this, you try and get a flavour for a particular group and their desire to win.
Yeah.
John Brown was the manager, and he's come in and he's battered everybody, in Bomber's fashion: veins, the lot, spitting. And Ian Ferguson jumped up and said, sit down, Bomber.
