Should fan podcasts and channels be allowed into press conferences? Peter Martin, Alan Rough, Gordon Parks and Tam McManus discuss supporters' groups and fan YouTube channels at press conferences, the question Derek McInnes was asked about Emmanuel Fernandez, and the criticism of Martin O'Neill's coaching at Celtic. Plus Brian Clough stories, Carlo Ancelotti, and Peter's Sky Sports earpiece.
What did the panel say about fan media?
That it has "lowered the standard": "It's devalued the press conference experience." Professional journalists "have to be objective", but "the problem with fan media is they're fundamentalists to the core". Peter: "there's a real balance to strike here."
Is Martin O'Neill not coaching at Celtic?
The panel say that's nonsense: "The guy's won two European Cups and played under the best manager you could ever witness in British football."
What were Brian Clough's rules?
A pint of lager the night before Anfield, and red wine the night before a European Cup final: "You don't drink wine, you're not playing."
