Stephen Robinson questions Aberdeen mentality | Aberdeen 0-2 St Mirren Match Reaction "That isn't the standards at Aberdeen Football Club." Stephen Robinson rips into his Aberdeen squad's mentality after a flat 0-2 home defeat to St Mirren — and warns of a major summer rebuild at Pittodrie.
🔴 ROBINSON RIPS THE FIRST-HALF:
"It lacked intensity. We passed the ball too slowly. We moved the ball backwards, sideways, without hurting them — and that's not what we've done for the last six games."
🔴 THE MENTALITY VERDICT:
"Subconsciously, some of the players turned up tonight to come and play an end-of-season game. St Mirren turned up with an intensity fighting for their lives. There was no intensity in the game. That's not how my teams play."
🔴 THE SUMMER WARNING:
"What it's shown me is there is a big job in terms of the summer recruitment — and a big job to make sure we're going in the right direction."
🔴 THE CONTEXT:
- Aberdeen beaten 2-0 at home by St Mirren — Tuesday 12 May 2026
- Reds finish the season without European qualification certainty
- St Mirren's Craig McLeish takes another huge result in his fight to stay up
- Robinson signals an aggressive summer rebuild at Pittodrie
