"5 wins over Celtic and Rangers" — McInnes' Manager of the Year case | #Hearts #SPFL

Motherwell vs Hearts: "Has Derek McInnes been Scotland's standout manager?" The Football Show panel makes the case — McInnes named PFA Scotland Manager of the Year for the second time in his career after taking Hearts from a finishing-bottom-six side last season to running away with the Premiership in 2025-26 with the same core squad.

Tam McManus's argument from this week's Football Show: "A Hearts title would surpass what Fergie achieved at Aberdeen due to today's financial disparity." The McInnes-vs-Fergie historical comparison drove the channel's biggest week of the season.

With Steve Clarke's Scotland NT future in question after another underwhelming international cycle, the conversation around who could replace him is heating up. McInnes has done it at Aberdeen, Kilmarnock, and now Hearts — three different clubs, three different projects, three over-achievements.
