Celtic fans on the board: "They like their money, but not the fans" - Fan discontent at Celtic grows, with one fan arguing the problem now is that the club has money but is not spending it and supporters want ambition in Europe, better recruitment and better communication with the board, not multi-million spending.
"We're angry because they're not spending it." Matt McGlone, who led Celts for Change in 1994, on why fighting Celtic's board is harder now: back then "they had no money", now "this club have got money" and isn't spending it. Peter Martin on fans who want ambition in Europe, better recruitment and better communication rather than multi-millions, and McGlone's answer: "it's almost as if they don't like the fans, but they like their money." From Straight Talk with Matt McGlone, recorded in late August 2026.
