🛡️ Defensive Focus
Thelin emphasised the need for more help when defending and better control of central areas. The team has been too exposed, and compactness on the pitch is crucial.
⚡ Critical Moments
He noted that Motherwell’s goal highlighted Aberdeen’s defensive lapses and poor recovery. Small technical mistakes and lack of support contributed to being too open in critical moments.
💪 Teamwork and Responsibility
Thelin stressed connecting all 11 players, supporting each other, and taking responsibility for results. Players must act together both in attack and defense to maximize strengths and hide weaknesses.
📈 Learning and Growth
He highlighted the investment in young players who are learning to handle pressure. Maintaining calm, following instructions, and staying focused are key for development and results.
🔄 Squad Management
Rotation will depend on the next games. Some players may be rested to maintain energy, with performance and intensity prioritized over formation changes.
🧠 Composure and Focus
Thelin advised players to focus on what they can control, stay stable under pressure, and ignore outside noise. Football is full of emotions, but clarity and discipline are essential to secure results.
⚽ Clear Tactical Priorities
Compactness, controlling the center of the pitch, and supporting teammates are the top priorities. Success comes from fundamentals and teamwork rather than formation changes.
