Why Rangers won the Old Firm: "Rinse and repeat from Ibrox" - Celtic vs Rangers Analysis

Rangers went to Celtic Park and did exactly what they did at Ibrox: rinse and repeat. Peter Martin, Gary Harkins and Tam McManus break down a second straight Old Firm win and ask whether this is a genuine momentum shift.

The panel give Rangers full credit: Derek McInnes set up to be aggressive, press high and play through a big, physical back three, and Celtic simply gave the ball away all afternoon. They created the better chances, controlled the midfield through Nicolas Raskin and his partner, and were unlucky not to win by more. Celtic were ragged after the break, went long and hopeful, and were lucky to lose only 1-0. Martin O'Neill's side are still near the top, but on this evidence Rangers were, in the panel's words, "better in every department".

Also in this one: seven wins on the bounce and what a McInnes team really looks like, why Rangers now have more squad depth than Celtic, the new centre-half who looks "top drawer", the "it's only three points" message McInnes was keen to send, and the real test still to come against the likes of St Mirren and Kilmarnock.
