Do most Celtic fans want Martin O'Neill gone? Gordon Parks: "If you ask Celtic fans, the majority want Martin gone." "They've had enough", and the same goes for Aberdeen fans and Stephen Robinson. Peter puts it to a poll, and one of the panel would rather it was Martin's own decision. From The Football Show LIVE, 16 October 2026.
Transcript:
What I'd say to counter that is, if you ask Celtic fans, the majority want Martin gone. So the fans have gone against him. They've had enough.
No, I don't believe...
Also if you ask the Aberdeen fans, they've had enough of Stephen. Right or wrongly, they've had enough. So you've already got two managers who think it's loaded against them.
Can I ask you something? You think, and I'm going to put this out as a poll, obviously you think the majority of Celtic fans want Martin gone.
God love him, but it was the wrong decision to stay. That's what they're thinking. They're now seeing the evidence in front of their eyes. They're so demoralised. There's so much chaos and dissatisfaction off the pitch. Do they want Martin as the future? I'd rather... I think the majority would think: go now.
I'll wait until the next four or five... Can I tell you something? That's not on.
You know what you look like there? You look like you've done for the last 15 years when somebody absolutely rattles a ball from left field right out into the crowd. He's just absolutely giving you the opinion and you've... Ballooned it there, haven't you? Oh, he's ballooned it, right. Welcome to the majors. This is what it's about. You ain't got an opinion. I don't know why you're...
Probably a sympathy vote. You know, I think he's done particularly well and he's earned, you know... And if it was to come to that, I would like it to be Martin's decision.
