'Only two of the players they've signed have started. That's a damning indictment of the recruitment at Celtic.'
The panel take aim at Celtic's summer transfer business after Celtic 0-1 Rangers, with the jury out on most of the new signings, three or four not even seen yet, and a squad that now looks short of the depth and physicality Rangers have built for Scottish football. The verdict: if Martin O'Neill looks at this group and decides he hasn't got the players to win the league, he walks away.

Yeah, I think when you look at the players that Celtic have brought in, the jury's out on quite a few of them already and I know it's early doors, but only two of the players that have been signed started. Yeah, I've seen that as well, which is a damning indictment again on the recruitment at Celtic. So, you know, they've signed players. There's three or four who you've not even seen yet.
So, yeah, I think for Martin O'Neill, he he will sit down and and and look at it and go, "Right, have I got the the players in the building to turn this around to win the league this season?" And if the answer's no, then I think he'll walk away. So he'll he'll he'll he'll think about that. You know, if I get if I get the strength and depth in here to go a full season with a squad, I get to January and win the league. If the answer's no, I think he'll walk away.
And and I and I think that the answer is possibly no at the minute, but I'm looking at the Celtic squad. I'm looking at the Celtic squad at the minute and I'm looking at the Rangers squad. I think the Rangers squad has got more depth. I think that the Rangers squad is is built more for Scottish football.
Um, I think they've got a manager in there who understands it. Martin O'Neill does as well. But the last two games have been a real eye-opener for me with this Celtic squad. I think they've been bullied physically.
And you look at it and you go, "Right, can they can they go more physical in the middle of the park? They've not got the got the players to do that to go more physical." And I think if you're a manager of St Mirren or Kilmarnock or Hibs or Hearts and you're looking at that Celtic team, you think right, go and press them high and force them to kick it long.
