"I think Martin's in the box seat. He's in a strong position. He's finished the season fantastic. Let Celtic win the double and he's come in and saved them. If you're asking me who do you think will be the Celtic manager next year — I think it will be Martin." — Tam McManus on The Football Show, 28 May 2026.
Celtic's managerial search rolls on as Dermot Desmond reportedly sounds out a few agents — but Tam McManus is convinced Martin O'Neill is going nowhere. After O'Neill came in mid-season, won the double, and brought Celtic the title against Hearts — Tam thinks the only candidate is the one already in the building.
"Dez will be sounding out a few agents — but he's going to come back to Martin and say 'do you fancy another year?' And I don't think Martin's going to say no." — Tam McManus.
Tam called Lawrence Shankland to Rangers in March. Now he's calling Martin O'Neill to stay. Two from two?
