"Does he get through the season?" On his first day back on the Football Show, Tam McManus is asked whether Martin O'Neill will still be Celtic manager at the end of the season. His answer: "I don't think Martin will get through the season." Gordon Parks goes further: "almost an inevitable certainty that he won't be."
The panel point to the results, the off-the-field issues and fans being banned, and ask whether O'Neill still has the energy for it every week.
Transcript:
Does Martin O'Neill get through the season? Is he the manager at the end of the season?
It's a big call, Tam. What a question for you on your first day back.
No, I don't think he will. I don't think Martin will get through the season.
I think it's almost an inevitable certainty that he won't be.
Yep. If I was a betting man, and I am, I would say no. Because of the results? I just think the results and the problems that are there. I don't think he's got, surely he's not got the energy every week, talking about off-the-field issues and fans being banned and all that.
