Brian McLaughlin of the Celtic Supporters Limited is calling on the board to communicate more with fans and show greater transparency on the strategy at the football club. The CSL is seeking to increase their shareholding in the hope that both the supporters and the board can discuss and debate the best way ahead for the club.
"Ignore us at your peril" — Brian McLaughlin and the Celtic Supporters Limited challenge the Celtic board with a 65-page Paradox Paper.
Peter Martin sits down with Brian McLaughlin, Director of Celtic Supporters Limited (CSL), to discuss the CSL's 65-page Paradox Paper — a governance report benchmarking Celtic FC against comparable European clubs and laying out a 12-point scorecard the CSL will use to hold the board to account at the upcoming AGM. McLaughlin covers the proxy-vote campaign, the conversations with potential investors about increasing CSL shareholding, and what happens if the board ignores them: "I think that galvanises the fan base more."
