"The best right back in the world": What Danny McGrain said next... #football #celtic #celticfc

Danny McGrain's sense of humour is as sharp as ever. Hugh MacDonald recalls interviewing the Celtic legend in Coatbridge, where his paintings were on show, and the deadpan reply he got after telling McGrain he was once the best right-back in the world.

The panel also celebrate his remarkable versatility, just as comfortable at left-back for Celtic as at right-back for Scotland alongside Sandy Jardine, his dry one-liners in the mould of Tommy Burns, and the good-natured banter about the players who supposedly gave him a hard time, from Davie Cooper to Ian Scanlon.

A warm tribute to a true Celtic and Scotland great.
