Scottish Cup Final 2026 — Neil Lennon's gracious post-match verdict after Dunfermline lost 3-1 to Celtic at Hampden: "The better team won — there's no question on that."

Lennon's Dunfermline gave themselves a spell after half-time where they started pretty well — but couldn't capitalise on it. The Pars were better physically, better on the ball, braver on the ball — but Celtic's quality was the difference. As Lennon put it: when his side got a chance at the edge of the box in the exact same position Celtic scored from, his player couldn't hit the target. "That's the difference, really."

Cup Final 2026 done — Celtic 3, Dunfermline 1. Martin O'Neill lifts the Scottish Cup. Neil Lennon's Dunfermline Athletic head home with their heads held high.
