Neil Lennon's Scottish Cup Final reaction goes from gracious to GRUMPY in 43 seconds — and the dog's in trouble. After Dunfermline lost 3-1 to Celtic at Hampden, Neil Lennon gave one of the most Lennon post-match interviews of his career. The opening line sounds like a philosophy seminar — "all the great managers have had upsides and incredible highs and incredible lows" — and then the mask slips.
The full Lennon journey in under a minute:
🎓 "It's the best thing in the world. The experience today was surreal, it was brilliant."
😡 "I hate losing. I found that out last week at 54, I bought it."
🐕 "So I'm quite mellow at the minute, but the dog's in trouble when I get home tonight."
🙄 "But I don't like people patronizing me and saying, oh, your team did great, blah, blah, blah."
🥊 "I wanted to win today, and obviously we've come up short."
Lennon doesn't want platitudes. He wanted the trophy. And the dog is going to hear about it.
Classic, defiant, unfiltered Lennon. The reason Dunfermline fans love him and Celtic fans miss him.
